Why is it that British people don't sound British when they sing?

sorry, mama jess was off having some well-deserved rest and frolic in the arms of someone who will remain nameless. i wonder what his name was, anyway?
i'm glad you asked this question because it gives me a chance to really get this message out there: the British Invasion was not
just a clever marketing phrase. no, sir, it was a real invasion! they invaded our minds and made us think
that they sounded like americans, so then all the americans started singing the same way. we're all brainwashed! i think it's the subliminal messages in the music. after all, you remember that was about the time that the "devil worship if you play it backwards" stories were coming out? my point exactly.
and now to reflect upon the weekend. it is such a joy to make big buffed boys act out "the full monty." oh dear. a british movie! i've been invaded!
